Preparing for Your Sleep Study
Your journey to better sleep begins with:
- A face-to-face evaluation with your provider
- A provider’s order for the test

Types of Sleep Studies Offered at MCH
Home Sleep Studies
- After your provider orders the test and insurance is verified by MCH Scheduling, Respiratory Therapy will contact you to schedule an appointment.
- During your appointment, a Respiratory Therapist will demonstrate the Home Sleep Study device and send it home with you the same day.
- You’ll record your sleep data overnight in the comfort of your home using a pre-programmed device.
- The next morning, return the device to the hospital for data review by board-certified sleep medicine physicians.
- Results and recommendations will be discussed with you after analysis.
In-Lab Sleep Studies
- Once ordered by your provider, MCH Scheduling will verify insurance and arrange your in-lab study.
- A sleep technologist applies monitoring equipment for a comprehensive evaluation.
- Enjoy a private room with an en-suite bathroom designed for your comfort.
- Data is monitored in real time remotely, ensuring privacy and accuracy.
- CPAP and/or BiPAP trials may be performed when appropriate.
- After completion, results are interpreted by board-certified sleep medicine physicians and reviewed with you.
Our full-service Sleep Lab operates one to two days per week, offering convenience and accessibility for our patients.
