Supporting the future of community healthcare through philanthropy and partnership
More About Us
The mission of MCH Foundation is to secure and serve as a steward of charitable gifts and bequests that further the mission of Memorial Community Hospital.
The MCH Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 2002 for the purpose of furthering the work of Memorial Community Hospital & Health System. Governed by a local board of directors, the MCH Foundation seeks and accepts charitable contributions from individuals, businesses, corporations, and other foundations to assist the hospital in providing excellent healthcare to the communities we serve.
As we fulfill our mission of stewardship for the community, the caring shown to us in return in the form of philanthropic support is appreciated. The MCH Foundation employs the utmost care in administration and distribution of funds.
It is organized exclusively for charitable purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. For more information about the MCH Foundation, please contact us at (402) 426-1464 or email cdigiorgio@mchhs.org.
Ways to Give
Your contribution is eligible as an income tax charitable deduction to the extent allowed by law. Here are some ways you can help.
Cash Gifts
Donating by check, online donation form, or by bank transfer may be the quickest and most convenient way to give.
Stocks
Transferring stock offers the opportunity to save on capital gains and income taxes and allows you to deduct the value of the stock at current market rates regardless of your original purchase price.
Qualified Charitable Distributions from your IRA/RMD
Those over 70.5 years of age can make charitable donations paid directly to Memorial Community Hospital Foundation from their IRA account and avoid personal income tax liabilities. Individuals 73 years of age and older may consider making their required minimum distribution (RMD) payable to Memorial Community Hospital Foundation.
Real Estate
Gifting real estate to Memorial Community Foundation can be accomplished by working with staff and advisors prior to making a transfer. Gifting real estate offers tax advantages, avoids capital gains, and allows you to claim the current fair market appraised value of your property as a tax deduction.
Estate Gifts
Name Memorial Community Hospital Foundation as a beneficiary in your will by listing a specific gift, property, or specific amount of money or stock. Name Memorial Community Hospital Foundation as a beneficiary in your insurance policies, IRAs, and other investments. Consider transferring paid-up insurance policies into the Memorial Community Hospital Foundation name.
Planned Giving
Ways to support MCH Foundation through your estate or long-term financial planning.
- Bequests (giving through a will/trust)

Honoring Gifts
Making a gift in honor of someone can be a wonderful way to memorialize a family member, friend, or colleague. The gift symbolizes a tribute to the individual for which it is given. Simply let us know who you would like to honor, and we will send that individual a card acknowledging your gift in their honor.
Gifts in Memory
The loss of a loved one or valued associate often leads to the desire for a living memorial. Gifts may be made in their remembrance. When gifts in memory of an individual are received, a card will be sent to the family of the deceased notifying them of the gift.
