Job Description

    • Assists in all aspects of accounts payable, payroll processing and miscellaneous accounting duties.

    • Responsible for the day to day functions of accounts payable including the paying of invoices and documentation of accounts and miscellaneous accounting functions.

    • Assists in the maintenance of the A/P system, which is in compliance with all MCH policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local laws.

    • Opens and processes mail daily.

    • Matches information on invoices with that on purchase orders, purchase requisitions and receiving reports to verify accuracy of charges.

    • Ensures invoices are promptly paid according to invoice terms.

    • Processes bi-weekly payroll.

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

    • Minimum of two (2) years Accounts Payable experience is required, preferably within healthcare.

    • Must possess a thorough knowledge of applicable laws and guidelines related to the administration of Accounts Payable; a keen understanding of hospital and other general healthcare operations; good computer understanding with a proficiency in Excel; excellent communication skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high-level commitment.
