Job Description
  • Implementation and maintenance of an effective system for customer service and credit and collections of self-pay balances due on accounts.

  • Works closely with other team members to effectively gather and process billing and collection information. Initial liaison in responding to patients and responsible parties complaints and concerns, including identification and referral of potential liability matters to the appropriate areas as needed. 

  • Researches and processes various incoming telephone inquiries utilizing appropriate systems to effectively respond to inquiries and requests.  

  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems accounts and patient concerns.

  • Collects all self-pay account balances in an accurate and timely manner. 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate’s Degree in a business related field preferred. Previous training in collections and follow up procedures required. 

  • Basic office skills including computers, faxing, filing, phones etc. required. Previous healthcare experience preferred.
