Job Description
  • Performs patient registrations and verifies current patient/guarantor demographic and insurance information.
  • Notifies nursing and/or medical staff of emergent medical needs as directed.
  • Obtains appropriate signatures on forms from patient, guarantor or family and distributes corresponding paperwork to appropriate departments.
  • Answers multi line telephone.
  • Responsible for making and scheduling patient appointments and for pulling medical records for upcoming appointments and messages.
  • Obtains copies of Medicare, Medicaid or insurance cards at each registration.
  • Obtains signatures on consent to treat forms and HIPAA Forms as appropriate.
  • Collects all co-pays, receipts in payments and writes receipt for patients or documents transaction according to policy and procedures.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years hospital and/or health clinic reception
    experience preferred. Medical terminology preferred.
