Job Description
  • Prepares meals for the regular and modified patient service, meals-to-go, cafeteria and special catering functions.
  • Prepares meals according to standardized recipes and established diet requirements for patients and staff.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks and sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Performs basic equipment care.
  • Maintains current knowledge of proper cleaning practices and requirements for state inspections.  
  • Follows the rules and intent of the department’s regulations and safety guidelines.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least three months of food service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to follow standardized recipes, including measuring and weighing of food ingredients.  Must be able to lift and transfer hot foods up to 50 lbs.
